Biography

Amy Leigh began her journey to become a pet groomer in 2002, completed her dog grooming certification course in 2003, and opened her own grooming salon. Continued education and gaining additional pet grooming knowledge are imperative in this profession. To this day she continues her education and takes pride in carefully selecting products, tools, and equipment to ensure her pet clients receive the highest quality grooming experience available to them.

You can also find Amy sharing her secrets about the pet grooming industry on her YouTube channel called “Go Groomer.” Empowering pet owners and other pet professionals to provide even more quality care for the pets they groom.

In September of 2021, Amy teamed up with one of the pet grooming industry's top shear manufacturers to produce a line of dog grooming shears that are not only durable but affordable. The Sapphire™ Shears line was designed to fit in the hands of the everyday pet groomer or beginner groomer. Like Amy, born in the month of September, the Sapphire shear includes qualities associated with the Virgo zodiac sign. Precision, a desire to be of service, and a sense of duty all of which are reflected in the performance of these shears.

Mission & Vision

Hi, I'm Amy Leigh

@gogroomer

Grooming is a vital part of the well-being and health of a dog, which can improve its quality of life. How much grooming a dog needs depends on its breed, age, and health. Regular grooming helps to ensure the dog is healthy and comfortable. While many dogs shed others, such as the Poodle, do not shed and require grooming every 4-8 weeks.If you are seeking the knowledge and training needed to groom your dog at home, I can help you with my unique virtual dog grooming courses. These grooming methods have helped so many pet owners learn proper, effective pet grooming techniques and now I have specifically bundled them together for you to purchase with lifetime access when you enroll. My promise to you... Dog grooming is not an easily accomplished task that is as simple as following directions and steps.
It requires you to build dexterity and expect to struggle with the oddity of using tools and methods that are brand new to you.
The tools and products used to groom dogs do not perform the work for you…you have to operate the tools and products optimally in order to achieve a successful grooming session. Prepare yourself for the obstacles learning to groom your dog has in store for you.
Get in the mindset of an apprentice. Be ready to make mistakes and learn from them.
You have to absolutely want to go the distance my friend and realize learning to groom is a marathon and not a sprint.
Equal to becoming able to play a musical instrument or any other skill that requires extreme focus and commitment.
Are you ready to begin your pet grooming journey today?
Failure is not an option when you plan to succeed.
…and remember, you are not the only one to walk this road. Pay attention to the footprints of those who traveled before you…
We all started at the same place, my friend!
